National Beta Club is the largest independent, non-profit, educational youth organization in America, with more than half a million active members. Founded in 1934 by John W. Harris, National Beta seeks ways to develop students by providing opportunities and experiences that demonstrate the four pillars of Beta: Achievement, Character, Leadership, and Service. The National Beta motto is “Let Us Lead by Serving Others.”
Each year, our Beta Club participates in various community activities, including ringing the bell for the Salvation Army during the holidays, donating items and packing shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child, and volunteering at various events and places throughout the Wiregrass. Our Betas also volunteered their time to help on campus with book fairs; in football, volleyball, and basketball concessions; at JV and PeeWee football games and cheer camps; and on several Sundays packing blessing bags with the CHS Key Club. We also adopt a CES family at Christmas. In addition to their service to the community, Beta members are required to maintain academic excellence throughout the year.
